A regular event and highlight since 1925, this is the most important long-distance swimming race in Germany. Many international competitors take part in the 2.4 km long race which starts from Altefaehr on Ruegen and finishes in the Stralsund Sea Baths. Stralsund - Rügen. | ||||

21st to 24th July | The tradition of the Stralsund Wallenstein Festival was revived in 1991 and has taken place regularly since then. This historical pageant commerates the victory over the imperial General Wallenstein, who had laid siege to the town. A medieaval market with stalls, minstrels, acrobats, craftsmen, traders and musketeers recalls life in the Middle Ages. The famous city festval event. | ||||

11th to 14th August | The Hanse-Sail Rostock is currently the biggest maritime event in the coastal region of Mecklenburg- West Pomerania. Every year, in the first two weeks of August, around 100 tall ships, traditional sailing boats and about 400 yachts from 12 nations - not to forget 750,000 visitors from all over the North of Europe - participate in this spectacular event and highlight. | ||||
